You must read and understand this agreement as you will be asked in your account application to accept.
Stonerocket reserves the right to suspend, restrict or terminate any customers account where the customer is in breach of this agreement.
Use of Web Hosting Accounts
Accounts are to be used only by the you. Account holders must not resell or give away web space or email accounts to other parties, other than the acceptance of advertisements. All web space and email accounts must remain in total control of the account holder.
Each applicant is only allowed one free hosting account. More than one hosting account is prohibited. If you are found to have more than one account you will lose your account and be banned from the free services for life.
Prohibited Use
Stonerocket prohibits the use of its servers for:
- Text based online games that use crons to deliver mass mail.
- Hosting illegal scripts like vBulletin or Invision Power Board (IPB) Hosting such scripts without our consent and a legal.txt file in the directory is prohibited
- Illegal material, such as commercial audio, video or music files or any other copyrighted works, for which the account holder does not have the permission of the copyright holder, or any other material in violation of UK Law
- Adult material, such as pornography, erotic images or otherwise lewd or obscene content
- Racist, defamatory, obscene, indecent or other unlawful material
- 'Warez', such as pirated software, ROMS, emulators, instructions or software for phreaking, hacking, password cracking or IP spoofing etc
- Sites engaging in or promoting pyramid sales, Multi Level Marketing or similar activities
- Engaging in illegal activities
Account holders will not post (nor allow to be posted) web pages containing such material or links to such material, nor shall they store such material in their server space, nor shall they transmit such material by email or any other means.
Stonerocket reserve the right to determine whether any material or use is prohibited.
Stonerocket reserves the right to remove any such material without warning and suspend or terminate accounts without access to a backup or notice.
System Resource Usage
If StoneRocket's staff team determines that a customer's account is utilizing an unacceptable amount of system resources, StoneRocket may temporarily deactivate the account in question. If StoneRocket's staff deems necessary, an eviction notice may be sent to the customer of an offending account providing them with 3 days in which to locate a new provider. This only occurs in extreme cases.
StoneRocket will be the sole arbiter as to what constitutes a violation of this provision. Because of the nature of this provision, each account will be considered and analyzed individually.
Background Running Programs (bots/daemons/monitors)
Account holders are not permitted to run programs in the background on shared hosting servers. This tends to use a lot of system resources, and can impair service to other customers on that server.
Cron Jobs - Under Review
Crontabs are currently only available to trustworthly members who can request in the support forum for crontabs be activated for your hosting account.
We do allow Cron Jobs to be conducted on our servers. You can setup and manage the cron jobs for your account from the cPanel of your account, however if there any abuse of this service occurs, we have rights to issue an account termination.
Unsolicited Email (SPAM)
SPAMing, or the sending of unsolicited email, from StoneRocket server or using a return email address that is maintained on StoneRocket server is STRICTLY prohibited. Using SPAM to advertise a site hosted on StoneRocket also constitutes as a violation of this provision. We will be the sole arbiter as to what constitutes a violation of this provision. Sites found to be in violation of our SPAM policies will be immediately deactivated.
Email Usage
As a prevention to combat spammers each hosting account is set to allow sending of 60 emails per hour (mailnull, php mail, pop, smtp) if you are sending more your emails will be held in a queue pending delivery, the mail queue is checked daily and all emails sent out are recorded.
If you need to send out a mass mail "example - CMS, Forums, mail list`s" on a regular basis then we recommend you export your email list`s and use another service to deliver them.
Server Abuse
Any attempts to undermine or cause harm to a StoneRocket server or account holder of StoneRocket is strictly prohibited.
We will be the sole arbiter as to what constitutes a violation of this provision. Account holders found in violation of this provision will be subject to account deactivation!
Using your Hosting Account
If you get accepted for free web hosting then we expect you to use your account, we are not a domain parking service nor a file hosting service.
When you get accepted for free web hosting you should have your home page up within 48hrs after acceptance failure to do so may lead to your account being flagged as un-used and risk being terminated.
If your account uses less than 5mb bandwidth per month it may also lead to your account being flagged as un-used and risk being terminated.
Data Transfer (Bandwidth) and System Resources
All web hosting accounts should remain within the agreed data transfer (bandwidth) allowance for the account. Stonerocket accept that there are times when sites may unexpectedly exceed data transfer allowance for short period of time. Stonerocket will not impose any penalty for such breaches of data transfer allowance providing that these breaches are small, are not frequent, and are not sustained. Stonerocket reserve the right to determine what constitutes small, sustained or frequent breaches of data transfer allowance.
Many domains have to share the various resources (processors, memory, etc) available on the servers. Stonerocket believe that no single domain should use excessive amounts of resources, as this may jeopardize server performance for the other domains.
In the event that an account is deemed to be using excessive data transfer (bandwidth) or resources, Stonerocket may suggest action to reduce bandwidth or resource use, or suggest moving to another hosting provider.
Failure to Follow Policies
Failure to fully comply with these terms is grounds for account suspension and/or deactivation. Any accounts hosted by Stonerocket must comply to the above policies.
We reserve the right to remove any account without prior notice!
Backup`s \ Restoration Policy
Backup`s: If you need to backup your account you should use a FTP Client to download all your files and use php myadmin to export your mysql databases. please note* cPanel backup has been disabled
Restoration: If you have a full cPanel backup we can restore it for you, to do this we request that you upload the backup via FTP to your account and contact an Admin via PM with your account information, Backup`s must be no larger than 50mb in size.
We also strongly recommend that you backup your files and database`s on a regular basis
Liability
Stonerocket will not be responsible for any loss or damage your website may suffer. Stonerocket make no warranties, expressed or implied, for any services we offer.
Account holders shall indemnify and hold harmless Stonerocket from any and all demands, liabilities, losses, costs, and claims, including all legal fees, asserted against Stonerocket and it's agents, customers, officers and employees, that may arise from any service provided or performed or agreed to be performed, or for any service offered by Stonerocket, it's agents, customers, officers or employees.
Stonerocket will not be responsible for any loss or damage caused by infringement of copyright or proprietary rights, supply of defective goods or services, any loss or damage (personal or business), caused by customers of Stonerocket.
Changes and Amendments
Stonerocket reserve the right to amend and/or change these Terms and Conditions without notice.
